This is partially accurate: word phonemes are interpreted as you describe, but words made of more than one phoneme are not. An example from your text is “wihouut” (without) which is interpreted incorrectly unless thought of as two, e.g. “wtih uot” (with out).

Ran into this via StumbleUpon – very interesting, especially as lately I realized my emails would probably look just like that without Gmail spell checker… I think computers will eventfully make us all dyslexic.

Anyway, perhaps you can add this as a Gmail plug-in? Looks like lots of fun!

P.S: It also works in Hebrew.

I have read about it before and it is a very interesting phenomenon that we are still able to read on even though the words are broken.

It will be a fun plugin if developed for jQuery, just call a function of this plugin on an element and that’s it.
